"Citizen Quest" on board of the MS Wissenschaft

Starting on May 14, 2024, the MS Wissenschaft will embark on its annual tour, commencing in Berlin and journeying through approximately 30 cities across Germany. This year’s tour theme revolves around the concept of freedom. MaRDI, the Mathematical Research Data Initiative, of which IMAGINARY is a part, will showcase the multi-player game “Citizen Quest: Together for a freer world”.
In this game, players navigate a city environment, exploring various facets of freedom. They encounter characters facing challenges to their freedom and are tasked with aiding them through empowerment, fostering discussions, generating new ideas, or fostering empathy.
The adventure begins aboard a mathematical vessel recently docked in the city’s university quarter. Here, advocates of scientific freedom advocate for sharing research data in a FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) manner.
The MS Wissenschaft tour will continue until September 15, 2024.
